Time & attendance

Time and attendance software with a clearer review trail.

Connect the planned shift with recorded attendance. Use GPS and configured geofences for clock-in location checks, then review times and breaks before the payroll handover.

For supervisors who need to check attendance across venues, stores, security posts or other configured work locations.

What changes in the working week?

Check the clock-in location

Configure your work locations and geofences, then review location checks with clock records. GPS accuracy and permission depend on the device and environment; a manager should investigate an exception rather than treat a map point as a complete account of the work.

Keep shifts and recorded time connected

Bring clock-in, clock-out and break records into timesheet review alongside the roster. A planned shift describes expected work; recorded attendance still needs checking when someone arrives early, finishes late or misses a clock action.

Give staff a repeatable process

Staff use their supported browser to record attendance, subject to organisation access and settings. Explain when to clock, which breaks to record and how to report a mistake before introducing the process.

How it works

A process the team can follow.

  1. 1

    Configure each work location

Check the address and clocking settings for the actual place people work. Explain the device location permission and your attendance process to the team.

  2. 2

    Record the shift and breaks

Staff clock in and out using the tools available to their organisation. Keep the roster up to date so managers can compare recorded attendance with the intended assignment.

  3. 3

    Investigate exceptions

Review missing clock-outs, incomplete breaks and unexpected times with the person involved. Confirm the corrected record before timesheet approval and payroll preparation.

A practical check

A missed clock-out needs a review, not a guess

If a team member forgets to clock out after a shift, compare the roster and clock record, confirm the actual finish time and review the timesheet before approval. A scheduled finish time alone does not establish what was worked.

Questions before you try it.

Is GPS attendance continuous employee tracking?

The workflow described here checks clocking location using GPS and configured geofences. It does not promise a continuous live location trail or automatic proof that every task at a site was completed.

What if the phone cannot get an accurate location?

Device permissions, reception and the environment affect location accuracy. Have a clear exception process so the manager can investigate the clocking problem and confirm the actual attendance record.

Does attendance approval process payroll?

No. Review and approve hours first, then use the relevant export workflow. Your payroll system handles payslips, tax and STP reporting.
