How to Request Leave
Employees can submit leave requests directly from the ShiftRova app. Once submitted, your manager will be notified and can approve or decline from the dashboard.
Steps
- In the app, go to Availability → Request Leave.
- Select your Leave Type: Annual Leave, Personal/Carer's Leave, Unpaid Leave, or Other.
- Choose the Start Date and End Date of your leave period.
- Add an optional note for your manager (e.g., "Family holiday already booked").
- Tap Submit Request.
What Happens Next
Your manager receives a notification and can approve or decline your request from the Availability section of their dashboard. You'll receive a push notification and email with their decision.
If approved, the affected days will appear as Leave blocks on your profile, and the roster builder will automatically flag any conflicts for the manager.
