Creating a Weekly Roster
The Team Roster is ShiftRova's core scheduling canvas. Managers and Org Admins can build the entire week's schedule from a single view.
Step 1: Navigate to Roster
Click Roster in the dashboard sidebar. By default you'll see the current week.
Step 2: Add Shifts
Click any empty cell in the calendar grid (the intersection of an employee row and a day column). A shift creation form will appear — enter the start time, end time, location, and role.
Step 3: Review Labour Cost
The footer of the roster displays your Estimated Labour Cost in real time, calculated from each employee's base rate and scheduled hours. Use this to stay within budget before publishing.
Step 4: Publish
Click the Publish Roster button. All employees with shifts will receive an email and push notification showing their exact scheduled times for the week. Shifts cannot be edited by employees once published.
